People who say life is short are lucky. That means they have full lives. They aren’t suffering just trying to get through each agonizing day. To me, life is long. All I’ve got to fill it are long painful days. And I haven’t got kids or a job to distract me. Do you know how much I’d love to be stressed out over my work or my kids? How I’d love to be running around in the afternoons, driving my kids to their activities, trying to save money for a trip to Disneyland? That’s my dream life. So many people are living my dream life and they don’t even realize it. I envy them so much.

The worst part about my chronic illness:
If someone who is not chronically ill gets sick, it’s completely normal that they take a break. They can take a nap, stay home from work, or let someone else handle chores. But those who are chronically ill cannot do that, even if it’s the best treatment…
^ Why I had to quit work and go on disability. I so relate to this. When one of my friends has a headache for an hour, they always tell me “I don’t know how you can handle having a headache all the time.” Because I HAVE TO. That is no reprieve. Ever.
it’d be cool to speak like 20 different languages & keep it a secret from everyone & then during a time of crisis, u could speak some fluent russian to some russian guy holding a gun to your head & all your friends will be like daaamn
